Glenalmond College has a James Braid designed, nine-hole golf course, also known by the name ‘Cairnies’. The course has stood for a long time and features a brilliant layout of holes, mixing par 3’s, 4’s and 5’s into a varied nine-hole course, with a Par of 35. It also uses a dual tee system to create an 18-hole course, with a Par of 69. Recently Cairnies has also been measured by Scottish Golf. The Society plays the school each year for the Fraser Cup.
The course is available to play. Bookings can be made via the college reception (reception@glenalmondcollege.co.uk or 01738 842 000). Society members can also contact Head of Golf, Andrew Todd on andrewtodd@glenalmondcollege.co.uk
